Last summer with the high water levels this section of the road washed out and was repaired. The road was closed for a few days which was a non-event for us.
On December 17 we arrived for the first day of the Christmas break. The following morning we began hearing about the washout. We expect the road to re-open soon. In the meantime, gathering more firewood is a welcome opportunity to get out in the bush.

Conditions are fabulous this week with the temperature well above seasonal norms.
(The thermometer reads -5 degrees celsius this morning.) It would be a shame to stay inside and miss this glorious weather.
This much firewood will easily last five to six days.
